Panasonic DMP
The panasonic dmp has now been released as the newest and brightest Blu-ray disc player in the market. It is also poised to be a hit with home theater owners nationwide, as its features are perfectly suited for the home theater environment. For other brands of Blu-ray players, the iterations of the Panasonic DMP are very strong in competitive terms, with the name of Panasonic bolstering it up still. The best players in this series are the DMP BD50 and the DMP BD60, but all other versions in this Blu-ray player series are equally as excellent.
The Panasonic DMP BD60 and its related cousins compose the second generation of Panasonic’s Blu-ray players. Panasonic has been one of the proponents and promoters of the Blu-ray technology, and as such, their Blu-ray products are one of the best in the market. The Blu-ray format is one of the newest and cutting edge digital formats around. They have storage capacities of up to five times that of the best high definition digital video discs (DVD). When a Blu-ray disc is created as a dual layer disc, it can hold even more data than the single layer disc.

A high-end Blu-ray disc player in itself, the Panasonic DMP comes with a lot of features that keeps the user busy for years to come. One prominent feature of the Panasonic DMP is the VIERA Cast, an online digital media service that was created as a proprietary service for Panasonic. What the VIERA Cast does is to allow the user to download streaming videos, audio, and similar types of media files from Panasonic’s service center. The user can just access it using the Viera interface found in the player. Aside from being able to access VIERA Cast, the user can also use YouTube services, manipulate and download pictures from Picasa, get stock quotes, get acquainted with the weather, and even downloading videos from Amazon VOD, or video on demand.

The Panasonic DMP series are high quality Blu-ray players. When run on tests, many note that it doesn’t have those jagged edges or image noise that are usually associated with lesser quality players. Additionally, this Blu-ray player doesn’t have any problems playing different kinds of Blu-ray discs available. However, this series is also plagued with a resounding problem: that of slow loading times. This may be expected, since Blu-ray players have more complex operations than DVD players. But if you are one of those users who don’t mind the extra time needed to load a particularly good movie, this Panasonic DMP Blu-ray disc player might be for you.
